Commonwealth Dental Practise

Dental practises across the UK are required to work within a variety of regulations such as needed 10 Air Changes per hour, especially when performing AGPs (Aerosol Generating Procedures). Under pandemic conditions this made the procedures significantly less safe for staff and customers.
HA500 and HA800 machines were installed in the practices treatment rooms. Doing so made Scottish dental chain Commonwealth Dental Practice the first in the UK to use the HA series of air purifiers that allow dentists to perform AGPs (Aerosol Generating Procedures) safely during the pandemic. A combination of both machines suited different rooms and would allow more flexibility for the practise.
The air purifiers far exceeded the UK Govts recommended 10 ACH (Air Changes Per Hour) guidelines for ventilation in dental treatment rooms, enabling the practises to perform safe treatments and reduced wait times. The machines DNO technology kills bacteria and viruses, letting their customers and staff feel safer.
What this gives us is two things – the ability to perform AGPs, which is vital if we are to continue operating, and safety combined with peace of mind for us, our staff and patients
